This fantastic handmade black matte dragon mug was inspired by the dragons in A Game of Thrones. It has a vibrant dragon on the front and it’s perfect for everyday use.

This is dragon mug is not made with molds, nor is it mass-produced. It is lovingly made by TurtleRok in Florida, a small business that produces the highest quality handmade coffee mugs in the studio located in Bradenton. Each TurtleRok stoneware item is hand thrown on the potters wheel so slight flaws will be found, but as you know this is all a part of handmade pottery and add they character to every mug made.

A dragon would be proud of how this mug is made. The stoneware clay is wheel-thrown on the potter’s wheel and individually glazed, making each one unique and wonderful in its own way. The mugs are kiln fired twice. Firstly a bisque fire so its ready for glazing, and then for the second glaze fire at 2,167 degrees Fahrenheit – about the same temperature as a dragon’s fiery breath!

Because this dragon coffee mug is fired to such a high temperature, each dragon mug is extremely durable and chip resistant. The sturdy handles are very comfortable for holding a hot drink, and should you reheat your brew in the microwave, the handle on the mug will not get hot under normal circumstances. And here’s a bonus – there’s no need to wash the mugs by hand – they are perfectly fine in the dishwasher!
