In this beloved Disney film from 1977, live action and animation are combined to create a mesmerizing and enjoyable tale of a lonely orphan boy named Pete and his new friend, Elliott, a 12-foot tall dragon that has the power to make itself invisible.

With the help of Elliot, Pete manages to escape his cruel adoptive parents, the Gogans, and they end up in Passamaquoddy, Maine. After causing some chaos in the town they eventually live with lighthouse-keeper Nora and her father Lampie, but chasing them is the evil Dr. Terminus who wants Elliott for medical purposes. Assisted by the Gogans an attempt is made to capture both Elliot and Pete, but things don’t turn out as they planned!
