The Knight and the Dragon by Tomie de Paola
What happens when a shy knight and a mild-mannered dragon fight for the very first time? Nothing ordinary is the answer! Firstly the knight has to go to the castle library to learn all about dragon-fighting and the dragon must delve into his ancestor’s belongings to discover how to battle a knight!
Amazon purchaser Emily James-Farley gives this book a 5 star rating and says:
“Absolutely love this story and have bought for other 4/5 year olds. Breaks the conventions of the usual knight/dragon stories and with its limited text allows for creative reading and imagination to flow.”
