About the Author
Christopher S. Claremont is a British-born American comic book writer and novelist. He is credited with developing strong female characters as well as introducing complex literary themes into superhero narratives, turning the once underachieving comic Uncanny X-Men into one of Marvel’s most popular series. He remains one of the best known writers currently working in comics. His work includes The Uncanny X-Men, Captain Britain, Fantastic Four and Gen13.
About the Illustrator
John Bolton is a British comic book artist and illustrator famous for his style which often verges on photorealism. In 1981 Marvel Comics’ called him to work for an adaptation of Kull of Valusia for Epic Comics. After illustrating two Kull stories, Bolton began working with Chris Claremont on the historical-fantasy character Marada, which was published by Epic Illustrated one year later. The original Black Dragon was released 1985, and the duo Claremont and Bolton continued working together to produced a series of short stories for X-Men Classic.
